

Robert Gutowski, (trombone) born in Rhode Island, USA, began playing the trombone at the age of six and has studied among others with Dean Farnham, Ronald Baedke, Jürgen Heine, David Steinmayer und Buster Cooper.
When he was fourteen, he played first chair in the Richmond Symphony Youth Orchestra and led his High School concert und marching bands.
With the encouragement of Conrad Bauer he began to perform in berlin 1991. He plays a wide range of music styles from big band jazz, salsa (with Jose Luis „Changito“ Quintana) and pop (Michele Baresi) to contemporary music (Arnold Dreyblatts Orchestra of Excited Strings). A great fan of Jack Teagarden’s, he’s especially pleased to play with Roger & The Evolution.
